Reliance West Africa positions itself as an integrated mining operator: geological exploration, selective extraction, first-stage local processing and upstream logistics towards export ports. This integration captures added value at every step rather than externalising it.
Our approach targets industrial and precious minerals whose value chains can be structured over time. We favour deposits where first-stage local processing is technically and economically viable, so as to avoid the pure export of unprocessed ore.

West Africa concentrates strategic resources but has historically suffered from low rates of local valorisation. RWA contributes to reshaping this model by investing in skills, industrial tooling and the connecting infrastructure required for a sustainable move up the value chain.
Each project is run to IFC Performance Standards, host-state mining codes and ICMM principles: environmental and social impact assessment, community consultation, rehabilitation plans, OECD traceability for sensitive minerals. ESG standards are contracted from the financial closing onwards.

The mining sector connects to our infrastructure (access roads, industrial equipment), energy (powering remote sites, hybrid mini-grids), transport (evacuation corridors to ports) and technology (sensors, supervision, environmental reporting) businesses, forming a coherent skill chain across the territory.
